Gnomes are a secretive and mysterious race of spellcasters.

  • +2 Intelligence, -2 Strength: Gnomes are well-learned and cunning, but their size makes them frail.
  • Small: As a Small creature, a Gnome gains a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but he uses smaller weapons than Humans use, and his lifting and carrying limits are three-quarters of those of a Medium character.
  • Gnome base land speed is 20 feet.
  • Gnomes gain Knowledge (Arcana) as a Class Skill regardless of class.
  • Darkvision: Gnomes can see in the dark up to 90 feet.
  • +2 racial bonus on saving throws vs illusions.
  • +2 racial bonus to Listen, Alchemy, and Spellcraft checks.
  • Spell-Like Abilities: A gnome with a charisma score of 10 or higher gains the following spell like abilities 1/day – dancing lights, ghost sound, prestigitation. Regardless of class, these spells are cast as by a first level caster.
  • Automatical Languages: Gnomish and Common.
  • Bonus Languages: Celestial, Diabolic, Demonic, Halfling and Undercommon.
  • Favoured Class: Wizard. A multiclass Gnome's Wizard class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.
